LT. COLONEL CHARLES H. OLDER, USAF (RET) Marine Corps aviator and AVG "Flying Tiger" Flight Leader and fighter ace: Lt. Colonel Older is one of the highest scoring AVG pilots with 10.5 confirmed aerial victories. Returning to the U.S. , the Colonel joined the Army Air Force and was assigned to an air defense fighter squadron in southern California. In1944 Colonel Older returned to China as the Vice-Commander of the 23rd Fighter Group and scored 8 more confirmed aerial victories. Following the Second World War, Older left active military duty in order to practice Law. Recalled to active Air Force duty during the Korean War, Colonel Older was assigned to aerial operations with a B-26 Invader medium bomber unit. Following Korea, Older returned to civilian life and the practice of law, becoming one of America's best known and most respected criminal judges.
