MAJOR WALTER V. RADOVICH, USAAF (RET) Originally trained as an Army Air Corps fighter pilot, Major Radovich was an original member of Lt. Colonel Philip G. Cochran's famed 1st Air Commandos. While serving in Burma, Major Radovich flew both P-51 Mustang fighters and B-25 Mitchell bombers, served as the Air Commando's Bomber Section Deputy Commander and was often the personal pilot of the legendary founder and commander of Britain's of Long Range Penetration "Chindit" operations in Burma, Major General Orde C. Wingate.
