MAJOR GENERAL WILLIAM A. COHEN, USAFR, (RET)**

A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, the General was trained as a Air Force navigator.   Rated as a master navigator he has flown more than 3,500 hours in bomber, attack and transport aircraft, types include the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress, the Douglas B(A)-26 Invader, the Douglas A-1 Skyraider, the North American F-100 Super Sabre, the Lockheed C-141 Starlifter, the Boeing C-97 Stratocruiser and the Convair T-29.  During the Vietnam War, General Cohen flew 174 missions in both special operations and attack aircraft.  The General has also served as a navigator in the Israeli Air Force, flying combat missions throughout the 1973 Yom Kippur War.  The General is also a Distinguished Graduate of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.  Retiring from the Air Force Reserve in 1997, the General is now a distinguished university professor and a highly regarded author.
