ADMIRAL STANLEY R.  ARTHUR, USN (RET)****

Former Vice Chief of Naval Operations of the United States Navy:  Admiral Arthur is one of America's most distinguished naval aviators, Admiral Arthur's early naval career was closely associated with the Navy's aerial attack community where he flew the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk and the Vought A-7 Corsir II.  Admiral Arthur flew four aerial combat tours during the Vietnam War and amassed a remarkable 500 ground attack missions while flying the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk.  In December 1990, Admiral Arthur assumed command of both the United States 7th Fleet and U.S. Naval Forces Central Command for Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.  During the Persian Gulf War, Admiral Arthur successfully commanded the largest operational naval armada since the Second World War.   The Admiral's final Navy assignment was as the Vice Chief of Naval Operations.   Now retired from naval service, Admiral Arthur is a top executive with a major American aerospace corporation.
