stars of the Chinese Air Forces Blue Sky Childrens Art Ensemble.
On September 16, 1999, the Sino-American Aviation Heritage Foundation
co-sponsored the Los angeles performance of the Blue sky Childrens
Art Ensemble. These wonderfully talented young entertainers are the
children of serving members of the Peoples Liberation Army Air Force.

Executive Director, Jeff Greene, Consul General of the PRC in Los
Angeles, Ambassador An Wenbin, SAAHF Board Member and former Navy
CINCPAC, Admiral Richard Macke and SAAHF supporter John Tao,
are seen in front of the Santa Monica Museum of Flyings North
American P-51 Mustang during the 1999 Veterans Day celebration that was
held at the Museum of Flying.
The event was dedicated to Second World War veterans of "The
Air War Beyond the Burma Road."
The event was jointly sponsored by the Sino-American Aviation
Heritage Foundation and the Museum of Flying.

Volunteer Group fighter ace and President of the Flying Tigers
Association, John "Dick"Rossi and Sino-American Aviation Heritage
Foundation Executive Director, Jeff Greene are photographed at the
former AVG and American Army Air Force airfield at Guilin, China. Rossi
and Green are pictured beside one of the heavy stone rollers that "war-time" Chinese workmen and soldiers used to build and maintain
the airfields vital runway.

In 1991, the Beijing Aviators Association initiated work on a monument
that would commemorate the sacrifices of Allied airmen in defending the
Chinese people from the military forces of Imperial Japan.
Located in Nanjing, China, and dedicated in 1995, the Aviation
Martyrs of the Second World War Monument is one worlds great
monuments to the sacrifices of Allied airmen.
The names of more than 2,200 American airmen who died in the
defense of China are listed on a series of large marble tablets.
