1. Colonel C. Y. "Henry Lee",who had once served as Chennault's
translator, and had been one of the first Chinese airmen to receive
flight training in the United States, first suggested the idea of
forming an aerial combat unit that would be comprised of both Chinese
and American pilots.

2. Mr. Li Getian, a distinguished veteran of the Chinese
American Composite Wing.
Mr. Li, a former North American B-25 bomber pilot, is photographed while
being interviewed for a
joint- Chinese/American documentary television production that was
recently produced on the Flying Tigers for Chinese television.
